| Chesapeake Sailing Craft |
| Description: | For anyone interested in sailing ships and boats that used to ply the waters of the Chesapeake Bay, this book provides a world of old photos taken between the 1920īs to about the 1970īs. The book includes pictures of Log Canoes, Bugeyes, Pungies, Sloops, Two - masted Schooners, Rams, Skipjacks and Three - and Four masted Schooners. I think it could be a useful source to anyone wanting to know what this ships really looked liked and what they were used for. There are also some good pictures of abandoned vessels in decay. Along with some of the pictures, you can also find a brief history of the ship / boat and what happened to it. If you like books like this, I highly recommend it. By Robert H. Burgess | |
