working guns

Im building a 1:25 scale model of a armed Coast Guard "Cape" class cutter and was wondering if anyone knew where I can find plans or directions to build working bb guns to use as armament.

Thanks,
Pat

Hi Pat,
You could try and go right to the source, http://www.uscg.mil/mailform/mail.shtm
They may be a little touchy on the subject of ''working'' guns nowadays, but you never know. John

Pat,

There are several clubs that promote warship gaming with models that compete in mock combat with bb gun cannons. Try going to one of their websites and they can certainly direct you to how to build and where to get parts. A good site in my area is at http://www.ircwcc.org/

Good luck

Hey Pat - I'm working on a smaller scale USCG Cape Gull and am in need of some info re the fitout as it was in 1976. Tall order maybe but I will try all avenues for data. Do you have any drawings/data that would show the derrick, 50cal & general rear config of 95304 ?

Cheers, Les
